At long last

New bedroom furniture! I have been pleading my case to Mr. Boddie for what seems like forever, and I finally got new furniture. I love it. The bed is huge!

Frozen Valentine's Day

We went to Savannah to celebrate Valentine's Day. We decided to go there for a break from the cold, rainy weather we have been having. The average temperature on Valentine's day is 65 degrees. This weekend, however, it was 47 degrees and it snowed for the first time since 1989. We managed to have a good time anyway. We had a fabulous dinner at Vic's on the River and took a tour of the city. Savannah has so much history, it was wonderful learning about it. We plan to visit again when it warms up, I want to take a ghost tour but it was too cold to do it this time. Here are a few photos.

I noticed that I am wearing this hat, sunglasses, and coat in every picture. It looks like I'm hiding from the mafia or something.

Vacation countdown is on!

I am so excited, we just booked our summer trip to Hawaii! We have never been and cannot wait. We are staying in a house on the big island. We decided we wanted a private, relaxing vacation so we chose this over a hotel or resort.

Any tips or advice from veteran Hawaii vacationers is appreciated.

Random Rant

So I hate the calorie counter on my Wii Active. I think that if I run, do squats, do lunges, run some more, then do jump squats I should burn 300 or 400 calories, not 94!
In my head I imagine that all exercise burns way more calories than it does, like running 5 miles burns about 1,000 calories. It's just not fair that you can eat 500 in 10 seconds if you're not careful and it takes so much exercise to burn it off. Boo!

Snow!

So this is what gets you a snow day in Atlanta. I am not making fun, I am really glad actually, but this does give you some perspective.
Realistically, there are not enough snow plows, salt trucks, etc. to deal with even a little snow since we never get it. It is just amusing that this much snow gets you out of school.
